WE DID IT!

So much cooler than video games! Boone Park's new playground equipment is going to totally "WOW!" the 5 to 12 year-old kids.

It's more than swinging and climbing. Through play, young children are actually working to develop motor, balance and spatial skills. Let's give them all of that AND a play environment that stimulates their imagination!

It's time to put away the cell phone and get off the benches. Kids learn by example so let's get them active by being active.

To achieve our vision for Boone Park's new playground, our fundraising goal is to secure $90,000.00 by April 1, 2016. If our community reaches this goal, we will receive funds from the Parks & Recreation Department and Jim Love, City of Jacksonville Councilman, District 14.

Please support this vision by making a direct donation TODAY.

A  new  Boone Park Playground

“we love boone park south!”

Our survey of more than 200 playground visitors revealed that although everyone loves the location, shade and size of Boone Park South park, the playground is ready for improvements that keep kids of all ages interested and engaged.

"Since this playground was installed in 1991, I have traveled to places around the country and the world and seen how many wonderful options there are for playground equipment...much more interactive and interesting. There is also a movement worldwide to include adults in the playground experience so that both children and adults are fully engaged. This is a wonderful neighborhood that many of us have invested time and effort.  I am delighted to see the spirit of involvement continue."

Richard Skinner, architect, Boone Park designer

“We need to invest in this park for our children and the community at large."
